Notes	Commentary: DWD 5.90 I don't have a marriage date in Tennessee for Peyton C. Darwin and his wife Nancy Young, so it is possible that the marriage was in Pope Co., AR, where they are both listed on the 1850 AR census and the census notes that Nancy was born in Tennessee. The history for Yell County, AR, states that Peyton C. Darwin had a sawmill in Dardanelle in 1860. It is understood that he died during the Civil War in 1864. An account concerning his brother, Henry Clay Darwin (born 1843) states that Henry went from Tennessee to Yell Co., AR, in 1867 to attend to his brother's business affairs following the death of Nancy (Young) Darwin on 6 Dec. 1866, which left the children orphans. The four surviving children are shown on the 1870 census back in Tennessee living at the home of James A. Darwin, along with his wife Bethiah, daughter Belinda H. Darwin and Julia Blevins who was previously mentioned in Section 5.89. All Peyton's children were born in Yell County, Arkansas.
